Hello, welcome to the first The Juliet Melbourne Report.

Not sure how long you’ve been reading this blog but something like 7 years ago I used to do a segment called ‘Foto Friday’. I’d upload all the photo’s of note from the week that had been and I’d write little captions about them.

When I started drawing full time, for some reason I stopped taking as many photo’s, but I also started posting most of them on insta.

So because I already post so many things on insta, I’ve decided to post all the photo’s I want to post, here on my blog.

With the photo’s I’ll include some pondering’s from the day, items of note, things about the city and anything I think you might like to know or I might want future Juliet to remember.

It’ll be fun. I’ll try and update daily, but don’t hold me to that.

Today’s Report:

It was a freakin’ wonderful day. It felt like Spring and joy and all things marvellous combined into one.

I made a note in my notes and it says:

”Today was a really nice day. For me, really nice days remind me of my childhood. The time before I used to go to school. I’d be hanging out with my childhood friends mum and we would be waiting for the kids (her kids, my friends) to come home from school. The postman would usually stop by and I’d run out and get the mail from the mailbox. When the kids would come home from school, we would all make Nesquick’s or milkshakes together.”

It was one of those days.

For lunch I stopped by the Spring St Grocer and Cordelia made me a cheese, tomato and pickle toastie and I ate it at the park across the road. I wasn’t sure if we’re allowed to do this. The lines of what we can/can’t do in this State of Disaster-Level 4 Lockdown are a bit blurry, but I saw a woman sitting on the Parliament steps with her daughter eating gelati (probs from the grocer) and the police were chatting to her and it seemed ok.

While i was walking past the Yarra River I wondered how deep is this thing and I just googled it and Google says it’s 2.5m. Did you know that?

See you next time,
Jx
