Mecca Max sent me a few of their complexion products just in time for Winter. I joked that they would be perfect for our re-integration back to society once we’re no longer under Covid 19 Lockdowns.

I haven’t worn foundation in the last 50 or so days, except for the handful of times I’ve been in Zoom meetings, or the few times I’ve ventured to the grocery store. This is also the first time that I’ve tried any of the Mecca Max complexion products, so I’m excited.

The range of products I’ve received are great as they cover all bases (pun intended). They go from lightweight to full coverage. The product I find the most revolutionary is the LIFE PROOF Liquid Lightener (they also sell a Darkener). I cannot tell you how many times I’ve come home with a product that has turned out to be the completely wrong shade. I think it will also be great for the Winter months when our skin naturally gets paler from being indoors more. Pretty thrilled with this discovery.

This is the first one I’ve tried.

  • Pretty impressed with it

  • It gives you a little more coverage than a tinted moisturiser

  • Covered all the redness in my skin and covered blemishes and can build up if you need to

  • Didn’t really need much product at all

  • I applied it with a brush but used my fingers to blend it nicely over my face

  • Great for everyday wear. I put it on to go to the grocery store and it looked good and was very natural looking

  • I put it on after cleansing, serum and moisturiser and didn’t need to or apply any powder. It sets quite nicely on its own, and I loved that it wasn’t really dewy

  • Loved it, love the price and that it’s made in Italy
