People and Their Clothes - WFH / Self-Iso
Working From Home / Self-Isolation Edition of People and Their Clothes
Thursday, 26th March 2020
As we all know, most of the world is self-isolating or in quarantine as a result of the current pandemic. This means I am no longer able to go out and about and document people and their clothes. Thankfully there are some wonderful humans who are willing to entertain my ever evolving ideas. This is the first of what I’m sure will be many, People and Their Clothes, At Home Edition, aka #homestyle.
I have asked my instagram community to send me photographs of their #ootd, and to tell me something about it. From this very small sample, it’s interesting that they’re all following a similar colour palette, slides appear to be the desired at home footwear of choice and comfort has also been considered, while still being stylish.

”It’s not very hooray Hayley of me. Went for a pre work run this morning and stayed in activewear. Which I wouldn’t normally do in the office.”Claire from Sydney

”Having spent a lot of years working independently/from home I strongly feel it’s important to get properly dressed for the day, & it’s fun because it doesn’t really have to be practical or subscribe to a dress code or be ‘office appropriate’. Wear whatever you want, just wear it on purpose. This is a favourite grey jumper from Assembly Label, my sassy getting-shit-done pencil skirt by Ginger&Smart (which always makes me feel fierce), plus earrings because why not - also a good accessory for video calls 💁🏻♀️”Catherine from Sydney

”Today’s ootd is half active wear but not too committed just in case I decide not to exercise 😂 slippers are a must and Star Wars tee because not many acceptable places to wear it so perf for wfh. I am a corporate lawyer so not wearing heels/lady suit is actually so nice 😍”Don from Melbourne
